Should I invest in professional Smart Home Installation or choose wireless automation in Hollywood, Florida?

Professional and wireless are not opposites: many professionally installed systems use reliable purpose-built wireless products together with wired networks, power and backbone infrastructure.

Professional and wireless are not opposites: many professionally installed systems use reliable purpose-built wireless products together with wired networks, power and backbone infrastructure.

When wireless is the smart choice

Wireless lighting controls, sensors and battery shades can avoid opening finished walls and make a Hollywood retrofit faster. Lutron RadioRA 3, for example, uses a dedicated RF technology independent of Wi-Fi and scales from one room to hundreds of devices. The right wireless system is selected and commissioned—not improvised.

Where wires still matter

Access points, cameras, TVs, controllers, audio equipment and racks benefit from wired Ethernet, PoE, speaker cable, fiber or dedicated power. Wiring provides bandwidth, predictable power and serviceable home runs. Outdoor zones and detached structures may need conduit or fiber rather than another consumer mesh node.

Professional means designed and supported

An integrator can deploy wireless components, but also performs RF and network planning, confirms device limits, organizes accounts, programs scenes, labels infrastructure and provides support. The comparison is therefore professional design versus unmanaged accumulation—not simply cable versus radio.

Choose by construction stage

During new construction or remodeling, install pathways and cable while walls are open even if some endpoints will be wireless. In a finished home, use a hybrid approach: retain existing electrical wiring, add professional RF controls and pull cable only where it materially improves cameras, Wi-Fi, AV or reliability.

Our recommendation

At Skynet Domotics, we survey wall conditions, construction access, Wi-Fi, exterior exposure and the systems to integrate. The result may be wired, wireless or hybrid, with the architecture documented before installation and tested after commissioning.

How we apply this

At Skynet Domotics, we review goals, existing infrastructure, construction conditions, subsystems and support needs before recommending equipment. We stand behind the technical validation of the solution. Our team only needs to approve promotional pricing and confirm location or service-area references before final publication.

Editorial validation

We reviewed the technical content, comparisons and recommendations as of July 31, 2026. Before publication, we only need to approve promotional pricing internally and confirm location or service-area references. Any price shown is preliminary and is not a quote.
