Control4 offers a broad whole-home approach with CORE controllers, dedicated remotes and touchscreens, room-based navigation, scenes, and a large driver ecosystem. It is often compelling when distributed AV, tactile remotes, lighting, climate, security, shades, and many third-party products must share one consistent operating model.
Where Savant often fits
Savant emphasizes a polished visual app, personalized profiles, scenes, entertainment, and a range of Hosts sized for different residences. It can be attractive when the owner prioritizes a highly visual Apple-oriented experience and the proposed integrations are supported by the selected Savant architecture.
Reliability and scale
Neither logo guarantees reliability. Controller sizing, wired network, Wi-Fi coverage, rack cooling, power protection, driver quality, lighting architecture, cable routes, and commissioning matter more. Southwest Ranches properties may also require fiber or conduit to gates, guest buildings, and outdoor zones.
Compare the complete ownership model
Request two room-by-room scopes covering controllers or Hosts, interfaces, remotes, lighting, shades, AV, network, programming, subscriptions, documentation, warranty handling, service access, and future changes. A lower hardware total can become more expensive if it excludes infrastructure or programming needed for the desired experience.
Make the decision after discovery
